Parish and Richards are given the baffling case of a man drained of blood and left suspended in a Community Centre in the position of The Hanging Man from a pack of Tarot cards with a number on a piece of paper inserted into his heart, but this murder is only the beginning . . .
Stick and Xena are given a series of double murders to solve, but nothing is ever as simple as it first appears. The men have had body parts removed, their wives have had their throats cut and there’s a bloody handprint on the children’s bedroom doors . . .
Jerry is given two other students – Shakin’ and Joe – by the Professor in her law class, and is tasked to produce a project on the Baker Street Bank Robbery and the use of a D-Notice, but things begin to spiral out of control when Jerry is threatened by an MI5 agent, and then Bronwyn gets involved . . .

This is my 8th review of Ellis and there is no reason to repeat my comments as to his abilities. Rather, let me tell you what I admire about him.1. I admire his ability to write a 15th 300 page chapter in his ongoing Parrish & Richards saga.
2. His ability to continually develop devilish, devious and arcane plots.
3. His ability to create inhuman, cruel, vile and despicable villians.
4. His sense of humor as evidenced by the comic badinage between the police personnel.
5. His ability to use real locations for restaurants and hotels ( per Google) and then to show his humor by creating humorous titles for the agencies the reporters work for. For example, the Thurrock Sentinel, Estuary Telegraph and Hoddesdon Harbinger, none of which exist ( per Google).
6. I better save some accolades for my next review. Just know that you must read his works. He is truly one of a kind!

The Fragments That Remain Parish Richards #16 edition by Tim Ellis Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews
One of his best.
I have now read all Parish and Richards books you have to read them in order or.they will not make sense. The humour is brilliant and full of auction . Hurry up and get the next book out. I am waiting for it.
It all started with my trying just one and then, just like potato chips (or "crisps" as Mr. Ellis would say), I couldn't put them down until they were all gone...Now I'm just biding my time until the next one! If you're looking for something interesting and fun, try this author from "across the Pond"...You'll not be disappointed.
I LOVE the Parish & Richards series!! I wish you wrote faster tho, as I hit the middle of the story I'm dreading the end because I know I have to wait for you to release another one. I really wish DI Blake and 'Numpty' had their own series too. I just love these characters, their interaction. I enjoy the goodhearted competition between DI Blake and Parish on who gets which case. LOVE it. Please write faster.
Angela Wright-
Ongoing family (Parrish and Richards) saga intertwined w/mystery plots.
Tim Ellis always provides an entertaining story. The more he
writes, the dialogue becomes smoother! You can count on three cases
having to be resolved w/other enjoyable key characters who are part of
the cast (Chief (Kowalski) and wife (Jerry), Doc Paine and Toadstone,
and Blake and Gilbert!
I have not read a Parish and Richards I did not like...this one no exception. For me, Ellis is the equivalent of De Mille as to witty, crisp and at times a bit sarcastic dialogue when De Mille was at the top of his game. The plot is very good, well resolved and a very pleasurable read. It is amazing how Ellis can keep the Parrish/Richards franchise fresh and intriguing 16 books in. Delightful reading---highly recommended.
I personally love this series. Tim Ellis is an incredibly prolific author. His style is infectious, but ... The Parrish & Richards series is not for the squeamish! The murders are horrific and always involve serial killers. There's lots of interesting back stories, historical and international. When a Detective takes on a young female constable as a partner and then marries her mother, you know you're in for a unique read. In this latest opus, the three familiar tracks of investigation are in parallel race with Parrish and Richards following one serial killer, Xena and Stick another, and Chief Kowalski's lawyer wife Jerry looking for trouble as usual! The strength of Ellis's storytelling rests in his rapid-fire dialogue that literally reeks with sarcasm on all sides! If you can get beyond the gore, you must give this series a try. After a few chapters, like me, you'll be hooked!
